The Education Project in Nigerian States/Africa supported the  government’s recovery in the wake of insurgency and provided targeted relief to vulnerable and displaced populations. The project centered on the educational needs of vulnerable households and internally displaced persons (IDPs). CRIAD/AFAB and its German base partners shall provide financial support for technical, management, educational materials, and logistics support for various Primary Schools, Secondary/College Schools in Nigeria.

The project will also build the capacity of teachers, increased access to learning aids, and renovated damaged school infrastructure. The team implemented a cascade

approach to training teachers and administrators, maximizing program funding available for the provision of educational materials.

It is anticipated that the active participation of local communities and government officials in the intervention supports continued maintenance and use of the schools— and paved the way for joint public-private initiatives in Nigerian educational sector.

We are motivated by enormous availability of sunlight to embark on solar-energy electricity through which we can make light available for the children to enjoy. The second problem is the fact that most Children are from terribly poor background and cannot have access to our school due to economic hardship. Those that have access are likely to perform poor in class consequent to the light problem above and more crucially the terrible financial problems which has been moving them out and in from school resulting to such children missing many good learning opportunities.

The poverty situation has led many children to drop out of school, or being sent away due to lack of payment of school fees, where they have to miss classes for a long period of time. The CRIAD/AFAB has very limited resources to meet the needs of a huge majority of the children from poor parents despite the fact that it is absolutely necessary that these children as many and need to attend school.
