Recent Classrooms Renovations

12/09/22, 17:30

School construction or renovation projects can have a profound affect on students, faculty and
administration.

The literature revealed that continuous communication is essential for a smooth process. This research identified bureaucratic issues and school climate to be leading factors of concern during construction projects.

Analysis of this study indicated that female Principals experience more stress during construction projects, and building leaders regardless of gender who oversee a rural school facility experience more stress than their suburban counterparts. The more experience the Principal has the easier it is for him / her to deal with school climate issues and concerns. The researchers also found that increased staff recruiting was not significant.

The majority of the building contractors did work with school officials to minimize disruptions to the day-to-day activities during school hours. However, many schools did not receive additional resources from the district office to help smooth the teaching and learning process during the project.

Many developing countries are seeking universal education, gender equality, and women's empowerment. Educating children helps reduce poverty and will give the next generation the tools to achieve upward mobility and conquer disease. Education also offers children a safe environment, with support, supervision, and socialization. Here they learn life skills that can help them prevent diseases, including HIV/AIDS and malaria prevention. Children may receive life-saving vaccines, fresh water, and nutrient supplementation at school.

Challenge

The aim of this project is to provide better education to young citizens of the country by giving them the opportunity to access a decent secondary school infrastructure.

The school must be designed to accommodate four academic years. At first, only one classroom per academic year will be constructed, but participants will have to take into account that the school could be extended in the future to three classrooms per academic year, which means twelve classrooms could be built at some point.

In the proposals, participants have to adapt to using local materials, easy constructive systems, and energetic technologies in order to make proposals as realistic and efficient as possible.

To achieve these goals, these are the proposed programs: four classrooms, a teacher's office, a computer room, library, laboratory/ research area, an animal area, a multipurpose space, a dry latrine, a director and secretary office, a meeting room, storage room, students dormitories, and twelve basic houses for the teachers.
